Gettin' Hitched
Liebe Freunde und Verwandte, Dear friends and relatives,
We're getting married on October 6th! Immigration Services approved our fiancé visa petition, Falk's interview in Frankfurt went well, and he now has a K-1 Visa which means he can travel to the US within the next six months and get married no more than three months after he arrives.
Wir heiraten am 6. Oktober in Berkeley, Kalifornien. Jetzt kann nichts mehr schief gehen!

The weekend before
Sep 28-30 backpacking @ Point Reyes for Cynthia’s bachelorette party (Wildcat campsite) 6.3 mile hike (10 km) each way (nur Frauen)
Sep 29 10:00 meet at Ashby BART to bike over the Golden Gate Bridge, drink beer in Sausolito, and cruise back on the Bay by ferry boat
Sep 30 Folsom Street Fair (world's largest leather event including spanking booths, das weltgrößte Leder-Fetisch-Event)

Take the train/bus with us! If you fly in, take BART from SFO or Oakland. Let us know if you'd like to borrow a bike and we'll hook you up.

The French Hotel is the closest (and cheapest, believe it or not, for the area) option and only a ten minute walk from the downtown Berkeley BART (local train) station. Call them at (510) 548-9930 and tell them you're with Cynthia and Falk's wedding and that Ron said it's $90/night (plus taxes = $100.80 total). They only have 18 rooms, so call soon.
If the French Hotel is full, call the Holiday Inn Express at (510)548-1700. It's at 1175 University Avenue which is about a mile away.
For a fancy and expensive hotel that's 4 miles away with a gym and multiple swimming pools, check out

Ein Hinweis für Gäste aus Deutschland: Etwas billigere Hotels gibt es bei http://www.tui.de/ oder http://www.hrs.de/ (ab 55 EUR pro 2 Personen). Hotels sind günstiger in Oakland und San Francisco. Man sollte aber auf die Lage (Verkehrsverbindung) achten. Für Aufenthalte ab einer Woche sind Ferienwohnungen/-häuser günstiger (20-30$ pro Nacht und Person). Das erfordert aber, dass die Reisepläne untereinander abgestimmt werden. Bitte meldet Euch bei Falk.
